At Ragamuffins, our staff work closely with parents to support the learning and development of the children in our care. They make careful observations which they use to plan inspiring activities to meet the needs of each unique child. As a result, the children are highly motivated and eager to learn through the engaging experiences provided.
Play is vital for young children, so exciting opportunities for child and adult initiated play, exploration, and investigation are planned and resourced using our extensive indoor and outdoor areas. All activities are based on the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage which sets standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to five.
The primary focus of our Curriculum is on the three Prime Areas: Communication and Language; Physical Development; and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. Activities are also planned to support the children’s learning and development in the four Specific Areas: Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; and Expressive Arts and Design.
