Our Curriculum

Ragamuffins Curriculum

At Ragamuffins our unique Curriculum offer aims to be broad and ambitious for all learners.

We implement the Early Statutory Framework within our settings which sets the requirements for learning and development in the Early Years and provides both the Prime and Specific areas we must cover in our Curriculum.

From September through to August our Curriculum explores different themes, festivals, and celebrations, and sets out the knowledge and skills we aim for the children to achieve.

All themes run alongside the unique child’s interests and needs, and goals vary at each stage of development. At Ragamuffins we ensure that each child’s key person plans for the individual child and extends their learning in line with their stage of development.

At Ragamuffins use the ‘three I’s’ to ensure our practitioners are aware of the intentions for the children’s learning, how to carry this out effectively, and how it impacts the children to ensure the best outcomes for all.

At Ragamuffins our aim is ‘great outcomes’ for all children by encouraging a love for learning, a sense of self belonging, and developing each child’s independence and individuality.
